Frequently Asked Questions
CAN I PROVIDE MY OWN FOOD OR BRING IN ANOTHER CATERER?
Vell’s Event Center is a full-service catering company and holds the food service license for our venue. For this reason, all events hosted at our location must be catered exclusively by us. Our experienced chefs are happy to collaborate with you to create any dietary requirements. We take pride in preparing high-quality, homemade food.
We also have an in-house Pastry Chef. While outside desserts are permitted, please note that we do not provide storage or refrigeration for them. Additionally, special plating fees may apply for outside desserts. For specific details, please consult with our event coordinator.
CAN I PROVIDE MY OWN ALCOHOL?
Yes! Vell’s Event Center does not have a liquor license to sell alcoholic beverages, so we are unable to purchase or supply alcohol for your event. You are welcome to bring your own beer, wine, and liquor. We will provide all non-alcoholic beverages, bar setup items, glassware, ice, and professional bartenders to fully staff your bar. There are no corkage fees.
WHAT SIZE EVENTS CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?
Our venue can accommodate anywhere between 50 and 450 guests.
IS THE VENUE ADA-ACCESSIBLE?
Yes! Our venue is completely on the ground floor—no stairs or ramps to worry about. We also feature wide doorways and a spacious ADA-accessible restroom for your comfort.
CAN I HAVE MY EVENT OUTSIDE IN YOUR GARDEN AREA?
Due to local noise ordinances in our residential neighborhood, outdoor events are limited to wedding ceremonies only. Our gardens are also available for photography.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
All deposits are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation, a deposit will only be refunded if Vell’s Event Center is able to rebook the same date listed on your contract with the same minimum guest count and at the same per guest price as stated on the current event pricing.
You may reschedule your event to another available date within the same calendar year without penalty. However, moving your event to a different calendar year requires cancellation of the original contract and forfeiture of the deposit. A new contract and deposit will be required to secure a date in a new calendar year.
DO YOU HAVE A FOOD & BEVERAGE MINIMUM OR A MINIMUM GUEST COUNT?
We do not have a Food & Beverage minimum; however, we do require minimum guest counts by room.
- The Solitaire Hall requires a minimum of 50 guests.
- The Wilshire Hall requires a minimum of 100 guests.
- The Gala Hall requires a minimum of 200 guests.
Each hall features its own private entrance and dedicated restrooms.
